Mashqi (“we”, “us”) provides cloud software for bottled-water distributors at mashqi.com. This policy explains what personal and business data we process, why we process it, and the choices you have.
Overview
This policy applies to visitors of our website, branch administrators, riders, and customers who use Mashqi’s customer portal or receive SMS messages sent through Mashqi on behalf of a distributor.
Who is responsible
Mashqi operates the platform. Each distributor (branch) is the data controller for its own customers and staff records entered in Mashqi. We process that data on the distributor’s instructions to run the service.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Mashqi, we may process:
- Account details for admins and riders (name, email, phone, role, branch).
- Branch profile (business name, address, currency, subscription status).
- Customer records you enter (name, phone, address, zone, balances, empties on hand).
- Operational data (deliveries, payments, expenses, purchases, production, quotes).
- Rider location fixes when live tracking is enabled and the rider app is in use.
- Phone numbers and message content for SMS templates sent after deliveries or for messaging features you configure.
How we use information
We use data to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Mashqi application.
- Send SMS notifications you configure for your customers.
- Generate reports, ledgers, and operational views for your branch.
- Respond to support requests and security incidents.
- Authenticate users, enforce access controls, and prevent abuse.
Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell your data. We share information only with service providers that help us run Mashqi (for example hosting, email, SMS gateways, and sign-in providers such as Google when you choose Google login). Those providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect data and use it only to deliver services to us.
Retention
We keep account and branch data while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward so you can export records or reactivate. You may request deletion of your branch account by contacting us; some logs may be retained where required for security or legal compliance.
Security
We use industry-standard measures such as HTTPS in transit, access controls, and branch-scoped data isolation. Please use strong passwords and limit admin access to trusted staff.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, or to object to certain processing. Distributors should handle customer data subject requests for their own customers. For Mashqi account data, contact us at the email below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in (for example authentication tokens, language preference, and active branch selection). We do not use third-party advertising cookies on mashqi.com.
Children
Mashqi is a business application not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of Mashqi after changes means you accept the updated policy.
